Philosophy Purity Cleanser

Hello lovelies! What are your opinions on the philosophy purity cleanser? I have acne prone oily skin and I really want to try this. However most of the reviews say this is basically only great for removing makeup. What are your experiences with this? Does this help with minor breakouts? Thank you!

I have combo skin. did not find it helped my problem areas. It was also very drying, like obvious visible drying. It did a great job at removing my makeup, so I reserved it for removing eye makeup only. I did not repurchase though.

It's my holy grail cleanser! Before I switched to this, I almost always used cleansers that were anti-acne, or that at least had salicylic acid in it. My skin is much healthier now! It's not intended to reduce oil or acne, but it did for me. Not 100% of course, but my skin is clearer and more balanced. It does leave that "squeaky clean" feeling that feels kind of drying, but I always moisturize after, so it's not too bothersome.

I have normal to dry skin and my acne is hormonal so no cleansers really help me with my acne, but it did a great job at removing my makeup and cleansing my skin (if that made sense). It's a very soothing cleanser so I would probably repurchase.

I felt like it was irritating my face so I stopped using it. I wasn't at all impressed :(
