Hello, I was wondering if anyone one on here could help me. My V card has been swiped, yes I am no longer a hair dye virgin, I wanted to dye the ends of my hair gray(I don't mind blue or purple undertones) but my natural hair color is a very dark brown. I've already bleached my hair 3 times and applied violet toner twice resulting in ash blonde tips, then I tried Ion's Color Brilliance semi-permanent dye in titanium but it just washed off completely after 50 min and my hair was still an ashy blonde. Assuming it was the dye and not my hair, I decided to try Manic Panic's dye in blue steal but again it just washed off. Can someone please tell me why the dye won't stick to my hair and what I can do to fix this? Thanks :)

If you bleached your hair three times in short proximity and didn't wait a week or so between dyes that's not good. But what happened is (if I'm correct, if not someone correct me) you're hair has no pigment left in it so there is nothing for the color to grab hold of. You're going to need to use a protein filler to even out the porosity of your hair so the color will hold. I would wait a few days before trying to dye it again.
