I just got Sephora gift cards and I wanted to see if anyone has tried the KVD shade and light palette or the new tarte contour palette.

I have the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette and I absolutely love it! The contour shades have great pigmentation and a little goes a long way so with the pan size they'll last awhile, they also blend so smoothly and easily. The highlight shades are very brightening and don't look powdery on the skin (:

I have both. KVD is hands down the better palette, no comparison honestly. The tarteist blends down a little too much IMO, although it swatches nicely the color doesn't really show up on the face :/

Well I haven't tried either but if I was going to pick one (which I probably will sooner or later lol) I would definitely go with KVD without even thinking about it. It has amazing reviews and it swatched great when I've looked at in stores. I love Tarte but I feel like it was kind of a miss with that palette just based on the reviews and swatches I've looked at...
