Oh you have to let me know how the olia turns out - I've been dying to try it - but as long as your hair is dry then it's fine whether it's dirty or clean doesn't matter too much

If your original color was a black or brown you'll never get it to a purple without bleaching. especially if it's a box dye.

Those boxed dyes go by virgin hair, so basically you won't get the colour unless your hair is not dyed

Oila has never worked for me. it's like I never tried dying it at all.
