Women have always had unique body styles. So yes you can pull off a 50's style dress :-). However, in that time era, a full circle skirt with more pleats ( or gathering) in the back of a dress can give the illusion of a bigger butt.

I agree with Jen C. If you want to enhance it a lil more for added confidence...a halter style push up/padded bra and platform open toe heels will give the illusion of more height to your frame. That dress is too gorgeous to let it sit in the closet so rock it girl!

I actually got it at a thrift store and just got it taken in I'm not sure who it's by because it doesn't have a tag but I have seen some at bridel stores for bridesmaids I hope I helped
