So I'm going on my first cruise with a friends family for a sweet 16, and was wondering what are some things I should definitely pack, beauty and non beauty related, also any other tips are great, thanks!

That sounds like so much fun, where are you going? If the cruise is going somewhere warm and tropical make sure to pack plenty of sunblock and lip balm! It would be terrible to get a sun burn and have to hide from the sun. Also some comfy shoes because you will probably be doing lots of walking around the ship.

Make sure you find out how many (if any) formal nights there will be, so you know how many dresses/gowns to bring (this will depend on your cruise line, there may not be formal nights). But know that even on non-formal nice, it's still expected to dress nice (no jeans, t shirts, flip flops, etc). If you're planning on wearing makeup, bring a foundation a couple shades darker than your skin, just in case you get some sun, because the only foundation you'll find on the ship will be high end (unless that's your thing!) And like the other ladies mentioned, sunscreen is super important! Especially if you're going somewhere closer to the equator, you'll burn faster, so bring a lot with you! I brought 2 cans of aerosol sunscreen on my last cruise, still ended up needing to buy more, and got some color lol. What else... oh, even if you're going somewhere warm, make sure you pack a sweater or a light jacket. Nights on the at sea days can get a little chilly. Also, it helps to plan out your outfits ahead of time so you don't over/under pack. But the staples - shorts/jeans, tank tops, and t shirts are best. I can't tell you how many times I packed all these crazy, stylish outfits, and still just ended up wearing shorts and a tshirt, which most cruisers do. They're just too relaxing to want to be in uncomfortable clothes! Well, that's all I can think of at the moment. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
