Next week I'm getting glasses that I will be wearing about 90% of the time so going from 20 years of no glasses to wearing them full time I kind of need advice. I like thicker frames and not like the small glasses if that makes sense also I get a lot of migraines will my glasses reduce that or make me gave more headaches... if you have any advice I would love to hear it.

When I got my first glasses, I had bad headaches and my eyes would water all the time, I'm guessing it's because, like you, I went from not ever wearing glasses to requiring them full-time
So I'd say that even tho at first it'll be really annoying just wear them all the time/every where until you get used to them :)

If your headaches are caused by eye strain, then they should go away almost immediately. If it's from something else, you may get headaches for the first week or so but once your eyes adjust to the glasses you'll be fine. Also, this seems obvious but it's super important - keep them CLEAN. There are a lot of substances that can end up ruining your glasses (I'm looking at you, hairspray), so if you notice something on your glasses, clean them right away. I'd recommend keeping a microfiber cloth or disposable glasses wipes with you. That's really all I can think of at the moment. Good luck to you! You're going to love the 20/20 life haha.

Agreed with kailey. I've had glasses since I was 7, and have the worst vision. The only advice I have is keep a case with a cloth in it, or disposable wipes, and buy the spray. If you get any oil or sweat on your glasses using a cloth will just spread it around, but the spray breaks that up and cleans. Clean the frames too, especially if they are thick and rest against a lot of places on your face. The constant sitting on your nose and for me it touches the tops of my cheeks, will cause acne quickly if you don't clean them lots. I clean mine every time I wash my face with the alcohol spray and a clean glasses cloth.
It won't take long for you to get used to them. You'll be able to see better and you won't forget that lol. I usually do get heachades when my prescription changes, but only for a day or two. If they stay for more than a week, go back to your eye doctor.

Thank you all so much for the advice!! I use to be 20/20 when I was little until I got a phone and it really changed my eye sight cause I have my phone so close to my face all the time ugh but I definitely appreciate the tips!
