I wouldn't suggest using coconut oil on acne prone skin. Lex from the YouTube channel MadeYewLook did an experiment using coconut oil as a moisturizer (she has oily acne prone skin as well) and she broke out in cystic acne. I wouldn't risk your skin like that.

Yea as long as it's pure organic coco nut oil. But I wouldn't use it as a moisturizer I use mine just for my hair and to remove makeup

Hi yes don't use it as a moisturizer. You can use it on your eyelashes and brows to make them healthy and long. Coconut oil is great for moisturizing legs and feet as well as arms and hands also. They absorb quickly but unfortunately it's comedogenic on the face. I use coconut oil as an ingredient for my body scrub, eye makeup remover, as well as hair treatment. And yes you can use it for cooking as well. I actually use a teaspoon of the coconut oil in my coffee as well.

You would want to use Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil, which has not been refined...rather than this. Those who are acne prone would do better with Jojoba or Evening Primrose Oil. My personal favorite is Sweet Almond, bit I'm quite fond of Rosehip as well.

A while back, I'd agree and say don't use coconut oil as a mosturizer bc you are prone to breaking out, but as of recently I've been using it on and off. I use coconut oil on my face as a mosturizer and let me tell you, it hasn't broken me out. I too have oily and acne prone skin and when I did use it about 4 months ago, not religiously, I'd break out but it was only like 2-3 breakouts. But as I mentioned, as of recently I've been using it on and off when I do my face wash > thayers toner> Paulas Choice Skin Perfecting 2% Bha> Ole Henriksen serum > coconut oil > Cetaphil mosturizer.
Definitely give it try by patch testing it on your dry areas and not your whole face (:.
Even if you get a simple breakout or two don't stop using it bc it is honestly such a great oil. But of course, having acne prone skin is enough of a pain in the butt, well rather a frustration so I'd understand that more breakouts wouldn't be the business x:.
Like Rozberry suggested, Primrose oil is awesome! Almond oil is quickly absorbed and jojoba oil is okay. It's not the best but okay. And Rosehip oil is good (:

If you see it working but still fear breaking out, use it when you need that push in moisturized skin c:
I bought mine from Trader Joes btw. c:

I have oily, sensitive, acne prone skin and coconut oil made my face break out. I also felt that my skin didn't absorb it very well, which made my skin extra oily. I don't suggest using coconut oil, but do try to see if it works for you. what I found that works great is Mary Kay's Timewise moisturizer. I use it every morning and night, and it actually helped clear my skin. I live by it :)

Like everyone said I wouldn't moisturize with it on your face. But I just wanted to note that it is multi-purpose so you can cook with it or use it for beauty related purposes
