I'm looking for a good cleansing system or spot treatment that's inexpensive. ( max $30 ) my acne is mostly hormonal and genetic , I've tried natural treatments (like with tea tree oil) and creams from the dermatologist. They work , but only for a little while. Please help me!

Are you taking anything for your hormonal acne? I suffered with Hormonal acne for quite awhile and to be honest your derm should know better than to prescribe creams and should have recommended you see a Gyno for Birth control otherwise its a waste of money. My acne didn't go away until I got on B.C.

I have hormonal acne too and my dermatologist got me an antibiotic pill that I took twice a day. It pretty much got rid of everything, it just takes a while to kick in☺️

I agree with kitty, I got on bc for period health reasons but my hormonal acne went away, I get maybe a spot or two during my period, but the hormonal acne is definitely gone. I'd ask your doctor/gyno about it. Even if you aren't sexually active (I started mine when I was 12), it can really help even out the hormones. Sometimes it's not curable without it, or you just have to wait till your hormones (hopefully!) stable up and the acne goes away.
But for acne that's genetic, a dermatologist will be able to personalize a routine for your skin while looking at what kind of acne it is and everything. But I'd recommend checking out the body shops seaweed or tea tree line. They are both good ingredients for acne. And you can usually get a starter kit for >30$ that last at least a month or two.

Hi, for spot treatment I use tea tree oil for years (use Jason's tea tree oil and I use it undiluted with a cotton swab straight on the acne) I think I paid 5.99 for it at Fred Meyer and now that I discovered Manuka honey I also use that. It's sold at whole foods unfortunately it's expensive. Not to mention it also has brightening properties perfect for blemishes. Worth the price
For cleansing my face full of makeup I use this Thayer witch hazel toner mixed with almond oil in a 3:2 ratio. It's 9.99 at whole foods. Then after I cleanse I just use the witch hazel toner by itself with a cotton pad as my toner.
My next step to even out my skin tone unfortunately again this one it's expensive and it's not an all natural I use epionce lytic sport tx. It costs 54 dollars full price but edcskincare.com always has amazing deals going on. I use about a pea size and let it sit for a few minutes following with moisturizer. I change up my moisturizer but most of the time I use 100% pure coffee cherry cream.

You should make an appt at the dermatologist they can recommend you to awesome products/antibiotics!
1. Don't OVER exfoliate it can make you break out I made this mistake in the spring.
2. Don't touch your face AND sleep with my no makeup on
3. Use acne treatment as directed (sometimes your skin can get worse before it gets better while using new prescription.) Don't worry about acne is a normal thing don't stress over it! :) best of luck xoxo
