Same. I'm using a mattifying powder and primer, it still doesn't keep me matte.

You need to use blotting paper and I use clearasil daily clear hydra blast oil free face wash it helps take some oils off your face and fifhts acne. the part of your face with the most oil is your nose so your nose is naturally oily. hope this help if you have any more question wright them on my profile.

What products are you using?

I've find that the moisturizers that market themselves for oily skin just dry out my skin, so I don't use them :)

I would definitely recommend exfoliating and a oil control mask dermalogica's sebum clearing mask is pretty good.

My face is also really oily today but I use blotting paper on my chin. nose and forehead haha and just like Mariana M, I use Clearasil Daily Clear Hydra Blast Oil-Free Face Wash every morning. I try to use a matte primer and loose powder (I also bring pressed powder in my bag just in case my skin starts to look shiny in the middle of the day)

I use blotting paper, mattifying primer, mattyifying powder, and mattifying moisturizer- I use the dermalogica matte moisturizer. I wash my face with the neutrogena clear pore, as it helps control the oils throughout the day. I also like gel-type moisturisers, like the Hydrogel Moisturiser by neutrogena.

Have you considered switching your cleanser from a bar to a liquid?
The ingredients used to keep a bar soap in a bar form is comedogenic and drying, and remember that your skin is an organ... so if you use a drying soap or other drying products your skin will want to compensate by producing more oil. Being oil - free doesn't necessarily help the issue as it can increase sebum production because your skin wants to make up for the oil that was taken away.
If you're willing to try it out - I recommend using a non-comedogenic oil. Squalane oil mimics the skins sebum and is produced by our skin... by applying a clean oil with great skin repairing properties and anti-oxidants can actually trick your skin into thinking it's already produced oil and slow down excess sebum production. For oily skin, I like Squalane because it dries quickly but another option can be jojoba oil, but it is a bit thicker.

Try proactive's daily oil control. I use it in the mornings after I wash my face, let it dry, use an oil free moisturizer, then go about my normal makeup routine. It's made a huge difference for me.

You can apply it anytime you want, before or after a moisturizer however you prefer. I suggest leaving behind the bar cleanser before trying to make any improvements. Also stay clear of any product containing Solvent Alcohols as Solvent Alcohol will also increase oil production, fragrance can also irritate your pores which can trigger an increase in androgens which = more oil.

Kitty where can you find squalene oil? I've been considering jojoba but was a little weary because if the thickness and I'm super oily as well.
