I am honestly not a fan. I don't like the way it looks and I would never get one myself, but everyone has different opinions so if you really really wanted it, get it. Make sure to do some research on the cons and how to take care of it before getting it though!

I would try on a fake septum before getting the real one. You'll get to see what it looks like beforehand and not have to worry about debating if you like it or not. :)

I like septums and I'd totally get one if everyone in my life didn't hate them, I had a fake one and I sent a picture to my boyfriend and he wasn't a big fan and I wondered if I actually looked good in it, I say get a fake one and if you like what you see go for it, I'm probably going to in the future anyways

If you like it, go for it! My septum is pierced and I love it. I recommend if you want something a little dainty, ask for a 16 gauge piercing. The first two times I got it pierced the piercer did 14 gauge and I found it a little too bulky. Also, be careful what the jewelry you buy later is made of. Surgical stainless steel is best. I had something I bought from ebay that ended up being a cheap material and it turned colors and got all gunky.

I say get whatever piercing you want as long as it makes you feel good and beautiful. I love piercings and I've thought about getting my septum with a very hug loop. What's most important is that you go to a prestigious piercing parlor, you ask tons of questions, the jewelry should be of high grade and that you properly clean it. I retired two piercings because the piercers only used stainless steel. My skin is sensitive so I needed something more durable and a higher grade material. I only use neometal or anatometal on new piercings. White gold after I've had them for a few years. Do your research and good luck.

Do you! What you wear should be a reflection of your personality. I have a friend who has a septum piercing and it looks good! She loves it which is most important. They also have many different stykes to fit what you want. Elegant, grungy, etc. lol. You should do it!! YOLO lol.
