Non expensive wig help?

Okay, so I need help.
I want to buy a few wigs, that look "natural" and are not crazy expensive. I want fun colors, or something I can dye myself. Natural as in no one will ask if it's a wig lol. Everybody asks me if my hair is a wig anyway, but I don't want anything obviously fake.
I have incredibly thick hair naturally and I'm thinking of cutting it quite short, since my scalp is starting to really hurt from the weight and it's just getting to much. I love my long colored hair, but no matter how much I shave and thin with sheers, its still incredibly heavy. So I'm thinking of cutting it into a short bob (I don't know yet if I'll dye it or not) or something and buying a couple fun wigs I can wear whenever I want, which will likely be daily lol.

I will be ordering to Canada, and I am really unsure of what the best kinds are, especially for everyday use and for a first time wearer.
So I have tons of questions.
What kind? I know there's lace front and non lace front? Lol
What would be the most natural looking?
How do I maintain them?
Which ones would be best for styling everyday? Not necessarily heat, but ones that are able to be formed?
Can I dye any? I would use veggie dye, but I don't think it would take on some types. I love doing my own combinations and creative colors but I don't want to ruin them.

Sorry for the massive questions. But I really really need help lol. I don't know anything about wigs other than buying the ones at Halloween stores.
Thanks in advance!

I would go with Arda-Wigs.
They're meant for cosplay but the material they're made of (synthetic) look more realistic. Not super shiny, they're not the softest but I like that.
They also have some that are lace front which I had got but it was like $60 I think.

Lace front can look more natural due to it looking like it grows from your scalp and some wigs don't have a parting.

Heat can be used with them, as far as maintenance I just put them in a tub of water and have some soap diluted in it

As far as coloring, fabric dye could work

Lace front from Arda-wigs. I got the color "titanium blonde" cut it to be more of an A-line an darkened the roots

$60 isn't bad at all, if I get cheaper that's great but from all the sites I've been looking at they're all about that price or higher.
That wig looks gorgeous on you. I can see what you mean about the parting, it looks natural enough that if I didn't know it was a wig I probably wouldn't question it lol. It's also similar to what I think my hair will be soon, but a little shorter.

Also another thing, I have quite thick hair and even when it's short it's quite bulky, how do you hide it? I know there's a wig cap thing but I'm not sure how I'd go about hiding my hair in it without it being lumpy, if that makes sense?
It's awesome that heat can be used, I don't style my hair much heatwise, and I'd probably get a straight one to keep straight and a couple to curl but it's nice to have options.

Dye wise, I've never heard of using fabric dye but it does make sense. I've seen people on YouTube who use manic panic on cheap extensions or cheap Halloween wigs, but I haven't seen any updates or a daily wear type thing with them, so I never know how it turns out after lol.

Thank you for the help, you're awesome!

Yeah when I was experimenting with wig I had super thick hair and down to my waist.
What I would do is so small sections and do twists and then pin each one around and sort of... Wrap them around each other. I'd start with a piece from the bottom corner, get a small section, twist it and then wrap it around the hairline in the opposite direction of where I started
(If I got a section from the bottom right, I'd have it go left)
And just do that and it'll be quite flat/not lumpy then I'd put on a wig cap
Doing buns and such never worked for me

As far as dye, you could use the regular manic panic stuff, I'm sure you can but I've seen people use sharpie and fabric dye and that worked for them but I'm sure actual hair color may be better since the hair may touch your face and if you have an allergy to anything in the fabric dye or sharpie that won't be good

So like a weird halo type hairdo? Lol.
I do that when I blow dry so that'll be good to know, especially since I was want to see how they fit before cutting my hair.

Yeah I was looking up stuff online last night and most people use sharpie or fabric marker, which would be unbelievably expensive here. I bought fabric markers a while back and they lasted a couple run volunteer t-shirts and that's it, and were like 30$ for a pack of 4.
But there were a few websites on how to dye wigs with manic panic, so at least I know it won't ruin it.

Thanks again for the help :)

I advise against using sharpies. I saw a post on tumblr about it and the sharpies can run when the tough your skin or get wet and it can ruin the wig. Definitely do actual hair dye or fabric dye.

Alyx, ahh I see. Over here the fabric dye is a few bucks I believe. I remember getting a lilac one for like... I think $4

Rozberry, thank you:)

Yeah I wouldn't use sharpies, I'm sensitive to the ink on my skin so I don't ever buy them unless for papers lol. But thanks for the warning :)

Aurora, yeah, it's really stupid. I volunteered for a concert festival thing and was in charge of making shirts, and it was stupid expensive. I had a company credit card luckily or I wouldn't have had enough for it lol.
For a box of fabric dye and fabric markers it was like a 100$ purchase and we didn't even have enough to do all the shirts, there was only 10 of us, and we just did the logo and volunteer words in marker, and used fabric dye as little splash accents around it. It was incredibly stupid expensive. I'm sure I could order off eBay of something for cheaper though
