I've been having this issue for many months now and really want to solve it!!
When I apply my foundation, it really brings out dry skin patches around my nose which is very noticeable yet when I have no make up on, my skin around my nose looks fine. I also have oily skin, have tried different foundations, use moisturiser and primer before application and it's driving me crazy!
Any advice would be much appreciated.??

What foundation are you using and what moisturizer and primer? All the products together could be the problem or maybe your moisturizer is not moisturizing enough - have you tried applying foundation without a primer? Just moisturizer underneath?

Yes, what products are you using?! :) right off the bat I think a huge game changer for you might be a hydrating serum if you aren't already using one. Clarins has a lovely Hydra Quench one, as does Kate Somerville, Peter Thomas Roth & Dior. Those are just the ones I have tried & would recommend. I'm sure there would be drugstore ones as well depending on your budget!

I have been using the Bobbi brown enriched face base moisturiser, smash box photo finish primer and I go between urban decay naked foundation or YSL fusion ink foundation.

I have this problem all the time. Apply a cream moisturizer/sunscreen to help soften dry spots and prevent more from popping up. Use a cream foundation for concealers, foundation, and blushes because this won't accentuate dry spots. Stay away from anything matte. Use a formula that is slightly dewy to make skin appear healthy and smooth. Always take off your makeup and apply a night cream before bed. Consider using a moisturizing face mask once a week. I like sheet masks because it keeps the product on your face.

I'd switch up to Embryolisse Lait-creme Concentrate for priming. I love my MUFE Face and Body Foundation soooooo much. It is light to buildable medium with a slightly luminous finish. Ms. Jacqueline informs me there is a Hyaluronic Powder from BY Terry, so you may want to look into that. I use CeraVe or Purity wash, but before applying my Embryolisse, I use Philosophy Microdelivery..which keeps me free from flakes. You can get a small one that really lasts for $15. Around my nose, I use my Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream and it works beautifully. Hope that helps.

Hmm..well, you can use it only on the areas where you have patches and avoid the oily spots. Very little product is needed...seriously. I think targeting the patches with the Hyaluronic Eye Cream and that Microdelivery wash will make a big difference. The wash is fine for oily skin as well.

I think that says a lot that your skin is "oily" but you have dry patches and makes me think it's only oily because your skin is severely dry and is overproducing oil to compensate - are you using any kind of deep moisture night cream? That might help.
