I have extremely oily skin and I have never used a primer, my foundation gets shiny and oily after an hour or so of it being on! I've heard getting a primer helps lots.

Rimmel stay matte is nice for drugstore.
I also like the Mary Kay primer, it's about $18. Then for high end, the hourglass veil mineral primer is wonderful! You can also get the travel size as a cheaper option on sephora :)

Agree with Taylor t. the MUFE mattifying is no joke...the only primer that works for my oily skin. my makeup lasts 10 plus hours without even touching up
