I use Pro Naturals Hair Repair Mask. It contains Moroccan argan oil, lovely. I apply it to whole head but make sure I cover the ends carefully. I wet a small towel and pop it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and then wrap it around my hair. When the towel is cool I remove it and rinse hair with warm water. I then I put the Pro Naturals argan oil to ends and partway up my hair keeping away from the roots and scalp before blow drying and hair styling. Works a treat.

Aloe vera is a great moisturiser but not used by itself.
I don't either recommand using it in a mask because it's soluble and it would go down the drain after you rinsed it. instead I recommand that you use it as a leave in. you can mix it with a liquid solution (or just water) and use as a spray leave in.
even better use a good amount (enough to get you hair slightly damp) before using a creamy leave in moisturiser.
