I'm going to a wedding tomorrow and I'm trying to decide what lipstick to wear, is doing a vampy lip for a wedding inappropriate?

I'd just go with a nude lip rather than a dramatic lip
You wouldn't want to take attention away from the bride :)

I think so! I don't think the lipstick will take away from the bride or be inappropriate. I guess I'm just used to people going full on for weddings lol.

Agree with Lara, I don't see nothing bad with it.

I agree with Qwaserght. I think it's kind of tacky to go overly dramatic at a wedding. It's supposed to be about the bride.

I'm kind of old school I guess I still go with all of the traditions for weddings and funerals like I will only wear black to a funeral not even navy blue it means to be black in my opinion I usually put my hair in a bun of some kind simple natural makeup a small purse nothing flashy I wear flats and no chunky jewelry and if I go to a wedding I would never wear white black or red unless I'm part of the wedding party and it's one of those colors but if I'm just the guest I like to go with a beige dress something like that neutral makeup I'm not saying you can't what's good I'm just saying you would never want to take attention away from the bride but on sidebar I love the vampire lip look.

I agree with Lara, lipstick color won't take away attention from the bride. Tbh, the clothes you're wearing are what people judge for "wedding appropriate-ness"

Well, I'm wearing a navy blue maxi dress and cardigan, so I'll probably end up with a nude any way, but what I was originally wearing I could've done a vampy lip... Thanks for all of your help though everyone!

If you do, just ask the bride if it's okay. Or what the dress code is if you don't know her well. Some brides will be okay with it, some won't and it's impossible to know without asking. But generally I'd stick with the nude so you don't offend her, after all, it's her day.

I'm with Niki. I don't think it's a big deal however I myself wouldn't do it.

Do it! It's not a big deal. Its not like you're wearing blue lipstick or something.
