Hello ladies!
So I recently got some new makeup brushes and I don't know what's safe and what's not, that I can use on them to clean them. Would baby oil be okay with some warm water?

Baby shampoo is fine but I don't know about baby oil.

Baby shampoo might work better :) thats what I use. Oils aren't the best for brushes!

Don't wash your brushes with baby oil, it will damage your brushes and leave a residue on them.
I recommend the Beauty Blender cleanser solid, it's the best thing I've ever used to wash my brushes, but if you don't have the money baby shampoo, face wash, dish soap (not a fan), or another cheap cleanser you find. For me I found that I had to keep re washing my brushes with the blender cleanser if I used these, and other, methods

Uhhhh I'm pretty sure baby oil is fine to loosen up the makeup and as a protective layer before cleansing so that the cleanser doesn't dry out the bristles as much

I use dawn dish soap and a smudge of olive oil. My friend who works at Ulta taught me that way. Works like a charm for me..

Thank you ladies!! I'm so glad I asked before actually putting it to the test I will have to try that.

Try mixing equal parts olive oil and dawn dish soap. it'll deep clean them and the oil helps further soften and break down the makeup.
