Hello! ^^

I was looking for diy lightning hair masks that wouldn't damage my hair and I was thinking lemon juice and oil, but with every lemon mask they said to sit in the sun for a few hours... Except we don't have sun were I live for now
Will it still work?

Please don't. It's not worth it. Sorry I didn't want to type it again.

Read this thread too, it's got tons of information on how damaging and bad for your hair diy lightening is.

I'm not thinking about using lemon juice alone, I would put mostly oil

Again, still not worth it. Lemon juice is incredibly bad to the hair shaft from the inside out. It will continue to lighten your hair every time you're exposed to the sun, and it will continue to damage your hair regardless of how much oil you put in it, it's basically frying it daily till you cut it off. Please read the thread, it is very helpful and has lots of information on how harmful it is to your hair and how hair dye/bleach is not nearly as damaging

When I started to color my hair, I was concerned with damaging my hair. So what I did was. Only highlighting it. No double processing. I also chose to have my hair done at an Aveda Salon, because all of their products are organically derived and are less damaging to the hair. Plus they mix their own colors, so the end results are more predictable. They are a little expensive, but some things are just worth it.
