I bleached my roots tonight and ran out of bleach so some parts are still dark and my roots are orange. I used toner and purple shampoo. I was wondering if it would be okay to bleach it again tomorrow? I am sleeping with coconut oil in it so it won t be as dry in the morning. I also hair fairly thick straight hair if that makes a difference.

I'd try and wait at least a week just because even though it's only your roots depending on what volume of peroxide you used, it could make your hair snap off and then you'll have annoying short hairs near your scalp.

Did you put coconut oil on before you bleached? I recommend making sure it's completely out before you bleach again because it can cause unevenness. I also wouldn't recommend bleaching two days in a row unless your hair is super healthy and has no risk of extreme damage but if not wait a day in between and deep condition. I personally use last call to deep condition.

I strongly suggest that you wait at least a week. Preferably two weeks.

Only you know the condition of your hair. Should you do it? Probably not. Have others done it and lived to tell the tale? Yes. I bleached my hair twice in the same day, then again the next day, with no change whatsoever in texture and no breakage. However, my hair is virtually impervious to chemicals, and grows like Rapunzel, so I had nothing to lose. I went from a level 4 or 5 to a level 9 in a single day. The next day I took my hair to almost white. I didn't fry my hair, I didn't lose any length, I didn't have split ends. I used a cholesterol mask when I was done, and that was it.

I don't recommend doing what I did, because I doubt anybody else has hair as stubborn as mine. I was willing to risk shearing all of mine off, because mine grows stupidly fast. If your hair is not as durable as Iron Man's suit, and doesn't grow faster than Virginia creeper, I would not bleach so soon.

Please wait! I went to an over eager stylist to bleach mine a few months ago and now my hair is breaking. It went from dark brown to blonde in a few hours.

Depending on your specific hair, you might not be able to get past that orange color. Might want to speak with an experienced hair professional so they can direct you.

Please do not attempt this. As you said, you already have a chemical burn. This is very possible when done by a licensed professional and with the use of Olaplex, even more so. You will need to allow your skin to heal from what you have already used. Please see a licensed professional, you can cause subcutaneous nerve damage if you are not careful. This happened to me. I do not wish this on anyone. Again, please see a professional, we are trained to work with these chemicals as they can be dangerous and we know the limits.
