I am choising between 2 foundations. Mac pro long wear nourishing waterproof, or kat von D lock it. I have very oily skin. I want meduim-full coverage. I want something to last at least 10 hours. Help me pick one? What are your thoughts on dermablend setting powder??

I've used the MAC one an LOVE it.
My aunt used the Kat Von D one and she liked it too but said it would get kinda cakey.
With the MAC one I was able to get more than 10 hour wear and I get quite oily. I used the baking/cooking method and it definitely made it stick on a lot longer.
I used my fingers and work in thin layers letting each dry before adding another.
I did this because I had a sample and wanted it to last longer lol so doing that I found it worked a lot better that way

I have used the Kat Von and I really like it, it works wonders with my oily skin, you have to apply it quickly because it sets immediatly, I have found that the best way to apply it is a damp sponge, it is long wearing, the only problem I find with it is the color range which is limited but I highly recommend it

Can you get samples? I know both sephora and Mac provide them. I personally have dry skin but I looove the kvd foundation, I used to use it as my concealer lol. It's very full coverage and very long lasting. But it is very easy to get cakey on non oily skin. I didn't find it got cakey on oily skin when my cousin asked to try it out, she has very oily skin, and it lasted her all day, like 16 hours and looked great on her. I've never tried Mac foundation or dermablend powder unfortunately.
