My FAVORITE matte red by MAC is Ruby Woo! Nothing beats the formula of that color. Have you tried Whirl lipstick? It's a nice meeting point of the color family you're comfortable with :)

I like Mac Russian Red, it clashes with the golden tones in my skin well! For a dusty pink I like Mehr its very matte and is almost mauve. I'd also recommend Velvet Teddy as its very wearable yet gives off fall vibes!
