How long does unopened eyeliner last?

So I accidentally bought another maybelline gel liner because I thought I lost my old one. I already threw out the receipt so I can't return it. How long will it stay good for if I haven't opened it yet?

It should have an expiry date on the package. But if it's sealed, then it won't go bad for a looong time. There's no bacteria getting into it. If you feel nervous about it, when you open it you can spray some isopropyl alcohol on it to kill any bacteria. It shouldn't change the formula at all.

Noo don't oxidize it! Just Leave it. I do it all the time. Nothing happens. Unless you leave it for years you will be fine.
