Gunk Concerns With Acrylics?

I haven't had acrylics for YEARS and I really miss them but I'm concerned about getting gunk from my makeup and skincare products under them and making them look/feel not their best. The last time I had acrylics I definitely was not into makeup and skincare so I never had this problem. If I do get them I'll be getting them short so hopefully the gunk situation wouldn't be too bad but I don't know. Any tips to keep the nails clean and gunk free? Besides just washing my hands, lol.

I don't have acrylics but my nails grow ridiculously fast so they're always long
I just use a scrubby brush that you can get for nails and scrub under them

I've been wearing acrylics for years. I always use brushes to clean them and I also keep mine really short so that makes a difference too. I actually don't have any gunk from makeup or anything really. But definitely a nail brush is a must!

If you don't have a nail brush I've used a toothbrush in a pinch (I always seem to have extra from the dentist)

I use a cotton bud / Q-tip with acetone free nail polish remover & just swirl it under my nails! I've had acrylics for about a year now & I have longgggg acrylics so this works fabulous for me!
