How is tinted foundation different from foundations?

Tinted moisturizer is just that, a moisturizer with a slight tint of color to it. A foundation can range in coverage, sheer, light, medium, and full.

I prefer tinter moisturizer on my "just going out to food shop" days. I specifically like the NARS radiant tinted moisturizer since it basically strobes my face without the effort only downside is I react kinda bad to it so I use a silicone primer to protect my skin (the silicone fills the pores) it seems to do the trick! Foundation wise I am loving the Too Faced Born This Way foundation as it provides a nice radiance and offers nice moisture.

So will it be a good idea to apply foundation over tinted moisturizer to get full.coverage? I love the way my tinted moisturizer looks on my skin.. natural n sheer but the only problem I have is it doesn't give me much of coverage ad I want.

Angell, instead of layering products like that you would just need to use a full coverage foundation (:
