It works better if you use 2 opaque colours and do a base coat of the lighter one first, I must say though I havnt mastered it yet tehe.

Yes. use 2 colors that are quite similar and when you start sponging the darker one.. start at the very tip of your nail and then work your way up to the middle.. that will create a better faded out look. I did mine in gold and copper on the below pic.. the pic is not that good so its hard to see the colors and then I also made a konad stamp witch masked it even more :)
