Do you air dry or blow dry? And are you open to the idea of an iron of some sort?

Linda R.

I usually blow dry my hair, and sometimes use the straightener, I just wanted to air dry it this time to see if the olive oil made a difference.

Oils don't really target the problem, they mask it. This uncontrollable friz looks like dryness and breakage to me. Try a hydrating treatment like a hair mask or a shampoo and conditioner for thirsty hair to try and remoisten your locks. Then seal them and protect them with oil. Put oils on damp, towel dried hair. If you put it on to early it will roll off because oil and water don't mix.

If you use a straightener don't use any kind unless it is 100% ceramic. Your hair will feel and look completely different. No product necessary...imo.

Linda I swear I was just going to post the same question. My hair looks just like yours and unless I take a flat iron to it its frizzy. Was looking for a product to use without an iron going to try Moniques suggestion and try the argan oil. Good luck in your fight against the friz!

Do you use a heat protector when you use hot tools?

Redken Iron Silk and some kind of Argan Oil (I suggest one N only argan oil from Sally Beauty Supply) are what I recommend! :)

Don't. Use a towel to dry your hair. The fibers pull on your hair and make it frizz. Try a microfiber towel or a cotton shirt. Also the final rinse in the shower make it with cool water it closes the cuticles

Rines by hot water this couse dandruff and make hair weak

Feb 24, 2013

Shay W.

It causes the critical layer of the hair shaft to raise making it appear weak. when you shampoo you should focus on the scalp because this is where the buildup of natural oils and hair product usually reside. when you rinse, you can rinse with cool or luke warm water and bring the shampoo down through the rest of your hair while rinsing. if you shampoo the rest of your hair (like the ponytail down) you are drying your hair out, which can cause frizz. when you condition, only condition from your ponytail and down. conditioner at the roots can cause your hair to become heavy and weigh down because the hair is still fairly new and in decent shape, whereas hair from your pony down is older and more damaged. rinse your conditioner with cool or lukewarm water. allow to hair dry as often as you can. heat from a hair dryer and rough up the critical making it look more fuzzy. flat ironing isn't great fir your hair but if you use a good heat protector, it will smooth down the cuticle ogre your hair making it smooth and shiney.

Oh...also, hot water could cause Dry Scalp if its to hot. not Dandruff. Dandruff is a whole other ballgame.
