Only thing I've ever used on my eyebrows is pencil. but I've been wanting to try out a different technique like powder or something but I don't even know how I would use it or what kind to buy. any tips or opinions?

I use Maybelline Ultra Brow powder. It comes with a little angled brush. Short quick strokes going from the inner brow out are best. I also like Nyx Eyebrow Cake Powder, which comes with a wax as well to keep the powder in place and the brows in the right shape. You'll need a separate brush for the wax though unless you clean it after every use. Powder looks a lot more natural than pencil but you can still make a really dramatic brow with it. Or you can do the brow outline with pencil and fill it with powder. Start light with the powder and build it up as you go so any mistakes are easier to clean up.

I use pencil but it seems as if powder is more natural looking. I prefer pencil because I feel it's easier :)
