Which is better? I have fine, long, thin hair. it splits very easily. when you get out of the shower is it better to use aplastic comb or brush with plastic bristles? thanks for the help!! :)

A comb will damage your hair less but you have to remember that hair is fragile when wet. I have naturally curly hair and I don't comb or brush it I just use my fingers

Brushes usually. combs rip terribly. here's what to do: get a comb and brush and just compare. if you literally *feel* hair being ripped form your scalp, or if one doesn't reach the end of your hair easily, then don't use that one.
so many people say that you should use combs, but if you just stop and feel you'll know which to use.

Don't f'ing brush your hair when it's wet. It's way more elastic when wet and you will snap it right off. You can detangle it *very* carefully with a WIDE TOOTHED comb, but honestly, I'd stay away from doing that until it's at least 75% dry.

Brushing your hair does wayyy less damage. you can feel a comb rip your hair out. brushes glide through.

A brush will glide through if you turn the brush vertical so that the bristles are in line. Keep a wide toothed comb in the shower and comb through your hair while the conditioner is in and gently rinse. This will help take a lot of stress off your strands. But really, if you use your brush properly, bristles aligned straight, then it isn't much different than combing.

@Anna: thank you :) I didn't realize about lining the bristles up, but that makes sense. I've always just done it the path of least resistance.

A wide tooth detangling comb would be best. I never brush while wet
