I have never used liquid foundation before and have always been just fine with powder foundation. I am considering buying some, but have heard BB Cream is a wonderful liquid foundation that can actually improve skin. Any thoughts? Any drug store versions that are cheap and work great?

BB Cream, especially the American kind you find in the drugstore, has nowhere near the coverage of foundation. They're more like beefed up tinted moisturizers, so if you're looking for coverage, definitely try liquid foundation rather than BB Cream.

I was in th same boat as you. I recently got one of the skin79 BB creams and I really like it. It is VERY different, but I really like it. The only thing I do not like is that it's too dark, but I just use bronzer and a lighter setting powder and it looks fine. I say go with a BB cream. The American ones are just tinted moisturizers though, so if you really want the benefits get an Asian BB cream. They're kind of expensive, the one I have is $30, but I got it off ebay for only $6 haha. They have tons of them on ebay, so check those out. Sorry I can't help with liquid foundations; I've never used one. Good luck!!

I just tried Garnier's new bb cream yesterday for oily/combo skin. The first one they rolled out was horrible in my opinion so I took a huge gamble and tried the newest one. I'm very impressed with the results. My skin was pretty much matte all day. No fragrance and oily, oxidized skin. Plus, you can't beat the price. Under $15 for two ounces of product...my two current bb creams are over $30 a piece for one ounce of product! I'm going to give it a week before I consider it a worthy buy but after one day it certainly has me amazed already.

BB Cream. I use Skin79, Etude House, or Beauty Angel. Either way, you have better coverage because its a cream not a foundation.

BB cream is usually more recommended for dry to normal skin. If you have combination to oily skin, your best bet would be a liquid foundation for combination/oily skin such as Revlon's ColorStay. If you want to try some BB creams, go for the Asian ones like Etude House, SKIN79 and Missha because they tend to have much better colour range, coverage and results.

Tarte BB Cream is good...especially if you have oily combo skin.
