Well I had kind of the same problem. My eyebrows are really dark and have really thick hairs.
I usually trim them as much as possible (that lights them up a bit) and then I cover them with concealer and use a lighter color to fill them in!
I love using this method. Much better than going to the salon every month!
although the salon does it for a very reasonable price!

There are brow tints available now. I share the same problem but I bought an Eyebrow thingy that looks like a mascara. Its like a tinted brow gel and it helps a lot, looks great too! :)
