I'm not quite 43 and I have the same issue. Good news is we age slower, bad news is we're shiny.
I've been using Proactiv for awhile and it's working. I'm usimg Cetaphil moisturizer, and then Skin79 hot pink super plus bb cream. I then set that with Bare Minerals Mineral Veil. That's working well for me these days.
Urban Decay's De-Slick makeup setting spray has also been great so far. Been using it about 2 weeks.

I've had lots of problems with my oily skin I just purchased a mattifier from murad ita and oil-control mattifier spf 15 I'm in love with it look into it and good luck.
