This may be a dumb question, but I have almost zero curves, And was wondering if certain cuts or styles of dresses complement my figure? I usually look awkward in dresses:/ any help is much appreciated!

That's not dumb at all. We all have different body shapes and want to accentuate our favorite things about ourselves. Try an A-line dress that hugs you at your natural waist line and comes out into the shape of an A. Also empire waist dresses can be flattering as well. Lastly, don't forget to wear a pair of heels - the way you walk can accentuate your hips.
