Hey guys,

So I'm stuck in the MAC world completely biased to their products but the last few times I've been disappointed with their help and lack of concern. In so tired of being pointed towards purples and greens because of my eyes/hair color combination. Once in a while I'd like to have something besides the norm. I'm open to trying new stuff.. I've recently ventured into Too faced, urban Decay, and smashbox but I'm so intimidated because its the unknown. I'm fair skinned with a pink undertone! Thanks!!

I have fair skin, green eyes, and dye my hair red. Red eyeshadows look amazing. I always thought they'd clash but they don't. Golds work well on anyone in my opinion. I love the Fyrinnae lip lustre in Dragon's Blood it's a bright blue based red, so it doesn't play off any orange tones in red hair. It's still bright and looks great.

Thanks Ali I always thought blue base was a no mans land for warm red heads but it makes so much sense the contrast! Red eyeshadow... Like red, red?

Rust reds and auburns for me, too. And one of my favorite palettes to play with is Sephora's baked In the Nude. Colors that really compliment red hair and pale skin that have metallic edges to them. Really gorgeous. I also totally agree with everyone above with the red lip. At first I was really intimidated by the thought, but I tried it out and... it looks really great! I tend towards the ox blood reds because I love how the dark red contrasts with my pale skin and it looks a bit more striking and memorable, I think. I really like YSL and Hourglass' reds, and Maybelline also has a fair amount of reds that I'm partial to, as well. For shadows, though, just try experimenting--one of the things that I really like about being a fair skinned redhead is that colors tend to complement interestingly with our own tones. Things you would really think wouldn't look good actually do--it's all a matter of starting to branch out from your comfort zone, which is hard to do in the beginning (I know).

I have red hair as well, hazel eyes and the palest skin ever!! My makeup routine is just a simple black cat eye.. Sometimes I taupe colored eyeshadow which I have found look amazing with red hair! Also as in a comment above.. Red lip! This is my go to! I was also shy too and never wanted to stand out.. In the past year or so I have started to follow my style.. And seriously red lips are amazing! And look amazing with red hair and pale skin! My favorite and daily lip color is by the brand lime crime in their velveteens collection called red velvet! The most beautiful red you will ever see!

I have red hair and really pale skin and I rock all the colors. If you like the colors, use 'em!...what I found helps is filling in my too light eyebrows! I still have a hard time with lipsticks though :) I think I avoid them because my eye shadow is usually bright and dramatic.

I'm the same! I love red, but I find it to be too much on my lips, so I compromise and have red nails instead. For eye shadows, I love greys and silvers, greens, neutrals and when I want a bit more colour, I like darker blues and purples. I like brown liners for the day time, though I could never get into brown mascara, so I only wear eye liner at night as brown and black would look silly. I have quite dark coloured lips, so a lot of the time I wear clear gloss, but I love my lippies, and have found that Avon have some great colours for me. As far as lips go, make sure you have the right undertone for your skin. Fair skin usually suits a blue undertoned red best, and plum, spicy colours look lovely. Just experiment, find out what YOU like, rules are made to be broken ;)

@Larissa - I'm not home right now and so I can only give you the name of the color I have with me. My favorite ox blood color is from Hourglass (I have it in the lipstain) and is called Icon. I <3 this color!
