This is a very personal issue. Everyones skin is different and may react differently to different products. ie) a foundation that may break you out might not break me out. my best advice would be to make sure your face is clean before applying makeup and that any tools you use are also clean. make sure you get an oil free foundation. oil on oil is not good :) in my experience higher end foundations have been much more promising than drugstore. I currently use Lancomes 24hr foundation. Has been fabulous for me and my oily skin!

You could try going natural. If you do, try Lavera natural liquid foundation. You can get it on drugstore.com. Or physician's formula organic foundation from Walgreens/CVS/Walmart etc. Or if don't want a drugstore brand, try Vapour or W3ll people.

I can sympathize with you, every foundation I try breaks me out to some degree and I'm also VERY oily. I use blotting paper and setting powder to control the oil and for the breakouts I use try to wash my face as soon as I get home and put on nuetrogena oil eliminating astringent. It really clears my pimples.

Have you ever tried Bare Minerals foundation? I still use it, but I used it a lot when I had horrible acne and it actually helped clear my face up. It covered everything without looking cakey or making the acne look more obvious and dry. Hope this helps!

Girl, I am a foundation addict. Always looking for the perfect combination of coverage, not to be oily, not to wipe off on your hand if you touch your face and most importantly? To not wipe off in your boyfriends shirt ever! I have mild acne too so coverage is important. I've done Bare Minerals. The coverage is great, but I found that you have to sit there and put one layer, two... Keep going three.. Maybe four layers for a nice coverage. It's quite time consuming. Clinique has a line of Acne medicated foundation. I LOVE it. I've tried many many foundations. MAC will give you coverage but some say bad for the skin. Others are cakey, too heavy, too sheer... I say check out Clinique. That counter is ALL about skin care. :)
