Does PURE vitamin E oil really help get rid of SCARS. If so how long does it normally take.

Yes it does although it can be annoying because I find it can be very greasy on your skin. It's also good to put it on a new scar or scab so that it doesn't turn into a scar. How long it takes to work depends on the type of scar and how old the scar is.

Thanxs for your help! I've been using ambi soap along with cocoa butter but its been going To slow... Do you use pure vitamin e oil or more a processed brand.

You can get pure vitamin E oil at any drug store, either mix it with your moisturizer or put it straight on your skin. I'd suggest doing it as a night treatment since the oil is sticky and thick.

Yes it does bt if your already oily on the face ul get mre oily!I stay away fm it cuz I'm really oily bt dnt break ot.

Yes it does work with old acne scars and I use the capsules and break them open and put it on my scars. I would recommend doing it before you go to bed since it's very greasy, or during the day under clothing (just don't apply a lot). I recommend applying it right after you have a shower because it will absorb more easily into the skin. Also, if you have old scars this will take a long time for it to fade them and I personally find that old scars need something more than a natural remedy. I would recommend using Mederma. You can buy it at your drugstore. Apply it in the morning and throughout the day because it is very easily absorbed into the skin and isn't greasy, then apply the vitamin e oil at night. I HAVE SCARS FROM SO MANY YEARS I HAD APPLIED MEDERMA AT NIHHT FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS BUT IT DIDNT WORKED WELL. SOME OTHER SUGGESTIONS.

@Suman Mederma takes a lot longer than 2 months to work, read the instructions on the tube... it says right on there you need to apply it about 4 times a day for at least 6 months on old scars. The healing process takes a long time, it doesn't magically disappear in a few weeks.

Be careful with the capsules, once theyre exposed to too much light the benefits/effects it has for your skin begin to deminish. Its best to just get the pure oil, not capsules.

If its a fresh scrape/wound vitamin E will work wonders to minimize the scarting. Had half my face ripped off by an airbag. I used vit E. faithfully for months till it healed. very minimal scaring now. It saved my face! Not sure if it works on old scars tho.

Vitamin E will work to prevent scaring. I used it religiously when I scrapped half of my face when I fell off a bike about 8 years ago and it helped me not get a single scar. I used it for MONTHS and like Jay Vitamin E saved my face. I've tried it on old scars and it does not work on them.
