Does it prevent clogged pores?

Face primer is essentially a lotion to fill in pores to create a smooth, easy surface to apply foundation (also making it easier to blend and smooth out foundation.) It‘s not necessary, but it does have added benefits like evening out skin tone, filling in pores to create a smooth surface, and increasing the longevity of your makeup. (: I love Hard Candy primer ($5 Walmart) and you don‘t really neeed it but it does help as an extra makeup step.

Make sure to thoroughly cleanse your face before going to bed because you don't want makeup or primer sitting in pores, as it can cause acne and blocked pores.

Its allows your foundation to go on smoothly and creates a barrier between your skin and the foundation. Also allows your makeup to stay on longer. I use Laura Merciers Oil free primer but they have many more formulas like to mattify and for dry skin..point is I prefer her line because its really skin friendly and my skin is sensitive..so if your ganna put anything on your skin do your research and try to use only noncomodogenic products because that will prevent clogged pores...I stay away from talc and I don't like the feeling of silicone on my face D;
hope I helped and I definitely recommend Laura's products and Lancomes Teint Foundation Idole(: ask if you have any questions<3
