Hmm I know bending over and combing you hair down and then cutting across makes a good layering effect. I would suggest leaning forward (like putting towel on your head after shower) and then clip the hair in and cut straight across. If that's too difficult you'll have to use a razor and cut hair shape into a V.

When I purchased extensions over the summer I was told never to cut them.
I would personally take them to a salon to see what they can do

Razor it but becarefull! always razor hair extensions!! normal scisors make them look blunt & fake x
