German, English, Irish, and Cherokee here! My great-grandparents came from Bavaria to Ohio in the 1890s, and my grandfather's family started with English and Irish colonists in the former British colony of Maryland in the mid-1700s. The Cherokee part comes from my great-grandfather on my mother's side, who was half Cherokee and a quarter Tuscarora.
