I'm currently loving the NYC blue rose and Revlon softshell pink, but they start fading within an hr or so. Is it the brand or why are they not lasting at all? Or is their such a thing as a lip primer? Any suggestions?

It possibly could be the brand, but have you ever tried using a lip liner? They can make quite the difference, and Rimmel makes excellent ones. You could also try a primer, Urban Decay is great with primers. You could also apply one layer of lipstick, set it with loose powder, then go over it again with you lipstick.:)

Use a lip primer or you could try 24 hr concealer by maybelline.

Use a concealer, foundation, or lip primer before applying your lip color. :)

You can use lip stain I like revelons or I also like to use kool aid as a natural lipstain. Just poor into little container lick your finger and dip it into the koolaid and Dab onto lips.

Drugstore lipsticks can be great, just look.for a long wear formula, glossy finishes don't usually last, I have an urban decay lipstick that barely lasts 30 mins, its about the formula not the brand, that said mac lipsticks with the amplified and matte finish are my fave.

Lip liners definitely increase wear time. The only lip primer I've tried is MAC Prep + Prime Lip, which also moisturizes. It's pretty good and helps creamy lipsticks last an extra hour. Drier formulas wear better, and with the new makeup technology you can definitely find a long-wearing lipstick that isn't drying. L'Oreal makes some good long-wearing liquid lipsticks, and MAC Matte finish lipsticks last 4-5 on me (I smoke, too). The longest wearing lipsticks I've found are OCC Lip Tars and Hourglass Opaque Rouge.

I used to have the same problem. Right now I use a Chapstick let that sit for a few seconds then apply MaryKay lip primer, then use your lipstick of choice. I honestly have to say it last all day. I work 10-12 hrs a day and its still on when I get home.
