I think people should use traditional Chinese characters over simplified. Because traditional is real Chinese, and is still used by Chinese calligraphers the world over. For example "永不回頭", "never look back". You can see the difference between the two for the word "dragon": 龍(traditional) and 龙 (simplified). I hope you find this helpful.
