You can get a really cute pinup look by doing pincurls and tucking your length up underneath by folding it. you can do the curls with a Straightener you just roll it into a flat loop (about a inch section of hair) and press it with a Straightener and let it cool, in roll it and you should have a nice tight curl! this is what mine looks like all curled and pinned and it's usually pretty long!

With victory rolls you basically just have to watch some YouTube videos and practice lots! theyre easier to do if you don't wash your hair for a few days c:
