There are a few things I have been using from around my house for my beauty routine that work well for me, and a few beauty and cosmetic items I've been using around the house. Some are obvious; and some, not so much.
Let me know some of yours too :)
tape- I carry tape in my purse, when I'm out and get oily skin or notice dry skin on my face, put tape on it, let it sit for a second, then rip it off. It takes off the dead skin and oil
t-shirt- after my shower, I blot my hair with my towel, then wrap my hair in a t-shirt. If you let your hair dry in the shirt, it gives nice waves.
conditioner- ever run out of lotion (rare, but can happen); use conditioner for lotion. seems odd, but it really works (:
clear mascara- can be used on hair LIGHTLY for flyaways and to position baby hairs!
(obvious) perfume as air freshener..
use white toothpaste to fill in nail holes in drywall. let it harden, then sand it to make it smooth.
hair barrette or hair tie as a bookmark or paperclip.
paperclip as hair clip.
my favorite houseold and beauty product is seriously TOILET TISSUE/PAPER. there's so many things to use it for!
put fine powder eyeshadow into clear/top coat nailpolish to pigment it that color.
add a bit of cornstarch to regular nailpolish (or the DIY nailpolish) to make MATTE NAILPOLISH.
witch hazel and olive oil as makeup remover.
