How long do I need to wait until I dye my hair again?

I dyed it yesterday with a box and it looks terrible! It made it like a shade darker and a strand. I was trying to go lighter. Anyways, I have a hair appointment thursday and I don't know if thats too early to get it dyed again. Should I reshedual all together and get my hair dyed and cut on the same day or is it okay having different apointments?

I'd say 6-8 weeks. The last time I dyed my hair that's what my hairdressers told me:)

I used l'oreal but what happened was it bleached part of it and the rest is way darker. :( when I rinsed my hair out it seemed like a lot came out and none was left on my white towel.

Box dyes are a lot less damaging than people make them out to be. I recommend three days to a week. I have been dying my hair for 5 years. The best brand to use, because of its gentle nature, is garnier (I am probably not spelling that right). if your hair becomes damged, which it won't unless you are putting A LOT of stress on it, there are always products to use. infact I recommend them anyway, vegan hair products such as ion. they have a color soultions line and deep repair line. another thing you could do is try semi perm dye since it is a stain and not really a dye. hope this helps.
