So a few days ago a lady thought I wasn't even 18 but I'm actually 21! I know I look really young so any advice on how to look older and not look like a little girl? Lol Thanks.

Bronzer often makes you look older than what you are. But make sure you apply it correctly. Alot of people put it on wrong and it looks awful. There are many good Youtube videos that can show you. I don't really use it though kuz I'm only 13 :)!

I've always had the opposite I thinks it's more the way you dress and carry yourself that will make someone think you look you get or older! But nothing wrong with looking young! You'll be glad in years to come! And your hair is lovely, please don't cut it!

Well, I think the best way to look older is to remark your eyes with dark colours and use lipstick. By the way, I love your hair colour!

I have exactly the same problem. I'm 23 and still get asked for I'd wen I want to buy alcohol in the shop (legal age is 18 here). I tried to make myself look older but now I embrace the fact that I look younger than what I am and think to myself that hopefully when I'm 40 ill look like I'm in my early 30's lol. no matter how much makeup I wear or what clothes I wear I still get asked for I'd. you may just need to embrace the fact that you look very youthful and try and take it as a compliment.

The make up foundation may make your skin look better but it doesn't make you look older since its supposed to blend in and look natural. What will make you look older is eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, blush.. Etc. however you look beautiful with your no make up look and should only wear make up if you like it and want to, not to look older for random people.. Doesn't matter what they think! :)

I need to know this too because I'm 19 years old and most people think I'm 15 or 16! It's so embarrassing

I think it really depends on your face shape and hair. I've always been told I look really young and if I ask people they say because my face has a rounder shape it makes me look younger than I am. I also find not wearing makeup makes me look younger. Having said that, I think you look great! I wouldn't try to change who you are, you're sooo pretty! If you want to try a different look, maybe cut a couple inches off of your hair and try contouring your face. Embrace who you are and remember when everyone is old are wrinkly, you will look 10 years younger!

Thanks for all your help and all the ones saying I'm pretty :) and thanks Sonia, it's actually my natural hair color. I've never dyed my hair or anything. I was thinking of cutting it before but my boyfriend said no cause he likes it lol. And I agree Shauna, I think a round face does make someone look younger. I have kinda fat checks but I don't really know how to contour.

I have fat cheeks too lol but when you're older (like, 40's or something) it will help you look younger.

I think if you put your hair up in a bun or up-do you might look a little older

Ladies you should be proud of your youthful look many women would kill for the same effect and spend millions of dollars to look younger! my advice would be to love your youth while you can because youth and beauty don't last forever and when your wrinkly and 60 trying to look 18 you'll be wishing you appreciated your youth when you had it... but I have noticed that new clothes and a good haircut can transform your look drastically so go shopping for more professional and adult looking clothes (blazers and heels and jewelry accessories) and shorter hair usually makes someone look younger unless its more edgy like a pixie cut or a bob - that's what I would suggest to help look more adult.

I think I would rather look younger than older. One day you won't look so young, so cherish your youthful looks now while you can :) one day you'll actually Want to look younger.

Ladies you should be proud that people think you'r younger than what you are. I'm 29 and still get carded and I LOVE every minute. Enjoy your youthful skin cause in a decade or so you will wish people thought you were younger.

I have the same problem. I'm a 25 yr old middle school teacher and get mistaken for a student all the time. I've noticed though that the way you dress and carry yourself can really make all the difference. You can definitely wear classy 'grown up' clothes without looking boring or forgoing your style. Most importantly just throw those shoulders back, lift your chin, keep your eyes up and present yourself as the confident adult you are.

First, relish in your youthful beauty. Then, perhaps try a more sophisticated haircut.
