How long do acrylic/gel nails last when done at home?

Hi guys! I've been doing my own nails for a while now (KISS acrylic kit) and I want to try gel ones. I'm just wondering in your opinion which one is better? And how long do your nails usually stay on?

Okay thank you! Hopefully the gel will stay on..when I do acrylic they last like a week-.-

I always do them short for that reason :p but thank you for your help!

When I do acrylic at home they last like two weeks or so but I usually take them off before then because they grow out really fast and I like doing them:)

When I did gel, it came off like within a day!
