I've been told that women should start using Retinol facial care products for anti aging early in life. Any estiticians or beauticians out there have any opinions? What's a good but affordable brand to use?

I say about 21. The problem with using retinols at any age is that folks use it inappropriately. The stuff is quite powerful and involves doing a series of steps to get the skin acclimated to the product. Also many fail to use a moisturizing spf 30 or more to protect the skin during the day. With retinol use sunscreen is a MUST. I have yet to try any retinol products because I don't feel the need to use them just yet and I'm 39 years old. Affordable retinol products...I've seen Neutrogena and Gariner. I also believe Olay has one as well.

I have used an amazing cream with both SPF and retinol since I was 16 (there isn't lots of retinol in it, but enough that my skin is always smooth and glowy) No7 protect and perfect day and night creams are affordable and very effective!
