Hello ladies... I am having a bit of a dilemma shopping for tops for a job interview. I am a curvy gal with big banoobies (34DDD), and I just can't find a blouse that isn't too low-cut, too tight, or circus-tent loosey-goosey. I've searched JC Penney, TJ Maxx, Ross, Goodwill, Kohl's, Sears, and Fashion Bug/Fashion Gal. So far everything I have tried has either been too revealing, or too big. I'm on a very strict budget (my current job is min. wage and I am paying my way through college with no financial aid) that precludes me from shopping at higher-end stores.
So please tell me, where do you buy your blouses??

If you can find a relatively cheap dressmaker, or know someone who sews, find something you like that is a bit big for you, and after it :)

Ugh, I was hoping I wouldn't have to go the tailoring route. Do you guys have any suggestions on what kinds of tops are easiest to have altered?

I have big tatas too (34-36DD), so I feel your pain. I would try wet seal, I would wear a cardigan or blazer over a nice shirt. They have a ton of cute blouses there, just wear something over it is what I do. Their stuff is pretty cheap. I think getting something tailored would be more expensive. :/

I shop at the normal stores, but I always have to wear something under it. Even v necks that are only slightly v! Those bras with the lace or something going across. It's like a bandeau but it has the cups and straps, and obviously much more supportive. Those we're expensive though. I have three colors and they are actually very useful. I am a 34DD and I'm 18 years old. I hope I won't get any bigger. But if I do, I'm afraid I'm going to have to start tailoring my clothes to fit properly too :(

Yup, I've been trying to figure this one out for years! Lol not much success. Big melons with an itty bitty waist is very hard to shop for, nothing ever fits. I usually have to go the stretchy route and hope it works. The cardigan idea is a nice one or go with loose but nice tighter pants. :)

I like the cardigan idea! That never even occurred to me because it's been so warm here, but I could probably get away with a higher cut blouse that would be too tight on its own, with a cardigan over it. Thank you so much for the help ladies! I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with my meat pillows, lol.

As an owner of 34HH's I know your pain. To be honest, tailoring is your only sure-fire route. I also suggest layer pieces...long open cardigans and v-neck shirts...things that elongate your torso in an effort to draw the eye away from the girls. I've worked at Gap part-time for years and have amassed a collection of clothes that are well suited to my top heavy figure. Shop Thurs-Sun for the best deals!

Thanks for the tips everyone! I was able to find a cute navy 3/4 sleeve cardigan (Aerie brand) at the thrift shop and I paired it with an embellished tank top (that was high cut, thankfully) and black damask slim-legged slacks. I think I looked pretty spiffy, and now I have a nice outfit for date nights with my fiance. :D
And oh my goodness Ashley I feel for ya girl. Those are some big puppies you're hauling around. Your poor back! :( Thanks for the tip about the Gap! I will check it out.
