Not always! My guy hates when I even wear chapstick, rather than gloss go with a stain or tinted, maybe even a normal chapstick. If you want more color try a light lipstick.

I agree with Ali. Lip stain is really nice because it looks natural and if you start kissing its not going to wipe of :)
