Right seriously I look in a mirror and think oh yeah cool I look quite nice, but then I take a photo and and I just look damn aweful! I know it's a petty thing and generally I'm a pretty confident girl but it really puts me on a downer.. anyone else have the same problem? or any tips?

I'm not very photogenic either, it takes a lot of pictures to get one good one! Learn your angles, maybe even take a single modeling class so they can teach you your best angles. Also most people's left side is more photogenic than their right, weird isn't it? I just take lots of pics and hope fr the best usually , also look up ways to do photogenic make up

Try the Instagram app. Not editing photos but adding an effect to them can make you look better in a different sort of photo!

The best way to pose for a photo is to think of something funny. That way, your smile looks natural and not forced. I learned that tip from a Heidi Klum interview. If you look at google images of her smiling, you'll see what I mean. Also, never look into a camera straight on, always tilt your head a tiny bit. Very few people look good straight on in a photo.

Confidence. the most inexpensive and attractive thing of all. :) if you have enough confidence ever picture you take will have a likeable quality in it.

Pick your best side by taking a few photos of yourself on your phone to find your way angle :) and if your are taking a photo, always hold the camera slightly up and pint it downward towards you slightly, this makes the eyes look larger, the jawline much more flattering and shows off your features more. Practice makes perfect! :)
