Oh and if you're wearing foundation and eyeshadow, face primers and eyeshadow primers make a big difference. I hope I was helpful! makeup is an exciting thing :)

A foundation primer (or a bb cream), a good foundation, concealer, setting powder, bronzer, blush, highlighter (I would say if you are just beginning, highlight may not be a "must" contouring is something you can work up to), a good eyeshadow primer and a neutral shadow palette (would stick with neutrals until you get the hang of it), a black eyeliner, and mascara. Brushes are really important, but you can build a set over time. You probably really only need a powder brush, blush/bronzer brush and a couple shadow brushes. (I usually always fill in my brows, which can be done with a pencil or a powder, but if you have dark thick brows you may not need to worry about it!
